Anticipate things will be different. Normal isn't the same anymore.

Travel is starting up again, which is awesome! But some things have changed. We need to be at the airport a bit earlier. For some of us that might mean 3 hours early for an international flight. In my case, I need to be at the airport at 3 am for a 6 am flight. I hate missing a mean as I get 'hangry'. This is also important if you have connections.

Not all the airport stores and restaurants are open! Some of our favorite airport restaurants aren't even there anyone. So I want to provide some suggestions:

  • Eat before you go
  • Bring snacks - be careful about your snacks, as some countries will not allow you to bring dried fruit or nuts. If so, only bring enough that you'll consume before you touch down.
  • Bring an empty reusable water bottle. You can fill the bottle after you get through security.
  • If you're bringing food on the plane, just remember to be courteous about how your awesome meal smells to the folks that will be sitting around you.
  • DO NOT PLAN to bring your own alcohol on a plane (to consume on the plane.) This is a huge No-No.
  • Last suggestion for today, be patient! There are issues in getting enough employees, there are new employees, and things happen. Don't shoot the messenger, remember the old proverb "You can catch more flies with honey....."
